Project Highlight: MLK School
Welcome to the cutting-edge MLK school playground in Cambridge, MA. We worked with Brown and Sardina Landscape Architecture and MLK School to design this custom solution tailored to their students' needs.
The inventive KOMPAN solution is overflowing with opportunities to build physical strength through climbing, spinning, and balancing activities. The innovative net and rope structures are specifically designed to give users endless ways to challenge themselves and grow through play. Spinning elements can be found at every turn of this playground allowing children to train their vestibular system, which will improve their equilibrium and give them a better sense of balance. The eye catching poured in place surfacing is specifically designed to help kids navigate through different play zones. The bright color blocks allow children of all abilities to understand play traffic and differentiate between activity spaces.
